Thank you to all who came out to find Mika. Many of the residents of the Murray Hill Apartments were all very kind in helping us look for her today.
Good news! She has been found and is safely at home!
The screen will be fixed.
Lesson learned.. Cats can get out of any window left open larger than their heads to fit through. They can push a screen or claw at one if there is something interesting to chase on the other side. Please be careful.
Thank you again!!!
Mika, our cat, just got out this morning from the Murray Hill Apartments, at the corner of Southgate and Ethan Drive.
There was a weakness in the screen. It popped open, Mika got out and we cannot find her.
We are frantic. Mika has only lived in New Providence for two days. A little girl is devastated over losing her best pal.
Can you please be on the lookout for Mika? She was lost on the corner of Southgate and Ethan Drive, across from the newer condos.
She mainly has a white coat with a little gray, has a pink nose and is friendly. But, Mika is an indoor cat. She won't know what to do out there. Please help us!
If you see her, please DO NOT APPROACH. Instead, call 908-913-0509 or call Betty at 908-464-1203
Thank you!

That is great news! My cat was chasing a fly around in our bedroom when my husband and I were in bed, when there was crash! We turned on the lights and the screen had fallen out of the window, with our cat on it! She's an indoor cat as well. We went out the front door and called her and called her. By the time we got around to the back of the house, there was a low yowling cry. She was hiding in the bushes - no broken bones, but a red chin! It was a second story window!
Eight more lives to go!!!
