Democrats Retain Control Of Freeholder Board

Once again, Democrats sweep freeholder race.

There were few surprises as the results were tallied in the race for three seats on the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in which the Democratic party once again swept the GOP.

Six candidates were competing for three openings on the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders including: Democrats Alexander Mirabella of Fanwood, who  currently serves as chairman of the Freeholder Board; Mohamed S. Jalloh, of Roselle who is finishing up his first term and Bruce H. Bergen of Springfield, who joined the Democratic ticket this year. Republicans challengers included Diane Barabas of Westfield; Stephen Kozlovich of Union and Krzysztof Chris T. Nowak of Cranford.

The Democrats have held complete control of all seats on the board for nearly two decades in Union County.

The following are the results of the Freeholder race:

Democrat Alexander Mirabella 96,069
Democrat Mohamed Jalloh 89,704
Democrat Bruce H. Bergen 91,209
Republican Diane Barabas 54,572
Republican Stephen Kozlovich
55,281
Republican Krzysztof Nowak 53,233

Since the chairman is a Fanwood resident maybe he could get the county to clear the roads.

Is there anyone with any brains in the county. Have you noticed your tax bill or don t you care? Lets keep electing the same party who just wants to spend your money. Personally I don't care what they do with your money. However, I would like to keep some of mine.

I only ask all of the above what have you personally done to correct this civil injustice other than blog about it? The two party system is so broke in UC that the other party (Republican) did not even campagin or hold a debate. Come to the freeholder meetings and do the work required to either unseat them or expose them. Your civil obligation does not stop just because you voted.
