Five Things You Need to Know Today, June 27th
Berkeley Heights Family Fun Night, football camp, and state fair among Monday highlights.
Today is Monday, June 27th, and on this date in history, the world's first ATM was installed in London, England, In 1982, the Space Shuttle Columbia launched from the Kennedy Space Center on the final research and development flight mission.
Here are a few things you might like to add to your schedule today.
1. Oak Knoll School of Summit will host a New York Giants Youth Football Camp beginning today through Friday, July 1.
New York Giants Youth Football Camps teach safe, non-contact football skills to kids from ages 6 to 14 years old.
New York Giants Youth Football Camps are led by professional educators with High School or College coaching experience. Jim Matsakis will direct the Summit program with support from New York Giants alumni heroes such as Bill Ard, Stephen Baker, Eric Dorsey, Rodney Hampton and Charles Way.
The non-contact format provides an opportunity for both experienced players and newcomers to participate. Experienced flag or tackle football players sharpen their skills while others see the camps as a great way to cross-train and build new athletic skills.

All non-contact camps operate Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
2. There will be a seminar on How to Introduce Yourself, Build Confidence and Project a Winning Image -- Crafting the Elevator and Two Minute Pitch. This event will begin at 7:30pm and bring note taking material with you. All are welcome to this free seminar, which will take place at The New Providence United Methodist Church, 1441 Springfield Ave, New Providence.
3. The New Providence Memorial Library will present "Being There" - Photography by Sam Awad. This exhibit will be available for viewing from through September 16th. The library is starting summer hours on July 1st. Please check the website for the new hours.
4. The Lizard Guys will be at the Bekeley Heights Public Library tonight, June 27th. This event is from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. This is the first Family Fun Night this summer. Come see live lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs and insects. For ages 5 and up. There will be Family Fun Nights every Monday from June 27 through August 15 (except July 4).
5. State Fair Meadowlands at Giants Stadium Fairgrounds is devoted to family fun and entertainment value.
As New Jersey’s best value in family-friendly entertainment, you are invited to join the action-packed fun for the entire family. The Fair will run daily through July 10 featuring plenty of free entertainment with dazzling performers, delicious food, games for every age, thrilling rides, exhibits, shopping and bargain ticket nights. Hours Monday through Thursday are 6:00am-midnight.
