Last Chance to Sign Up for Berkeley Heights Cub Scouts
Q&A and sign up session scheduled for this Thursday, 7 p.m.
If you have a boy who will be in grades 1 to 5 next fall, then you might want to check out Cub Scouts.
Berkeley Heights Cub Scout Packs, based at the three elementary schools (Woodruff, Hughes, Mountain Park) will be taking signups and answering questions at the MKM School tomorrow, May 17 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Cub Scouts is a fun-packed program that helps boys develop self-reliance, character and citizenship. The program is hands-on with projects such as Pinewood Derby construction and racing, first aiding, camping, collecting food for the needy, and cleaning up the community.
Just over the last year, local Cub Scouts did everything from collecting dinosaur-era fossils to launching rockets, from boating and bb-gun shooting to playing Harry Potter-style “Quiddich,” from amateur radio to watching a competition robot go through its paces, and so much more.
