Photos: New Providence Clinches Win Over Dayton

With new coach, Pioneers win first game of season under new Lieder Field lights. Former head coach Frank Bottone was honored at half-time ceremony.

The New Providence Varsity Football Team's home opener was an important game for the Pioneers, as it was played under the new lights at Lieder Field and under the direction of new head coach Art Cattano. Retired head coach Frank Bottone was honored at a half-time ceremony and presented with a plaque that will be mounted to the high school at the athletic teams' entrance. By the end of the night, the Pioneers had clinched a 41-6 victory over Jonathan Dayton of Springfield.
