Scotch Plains Defeats Gov. Livingston in Union County Soccer Finals
Scotch Plains Boys' Varsity Soccer Team notched a 5-2 victory over Gov. Livingston at Friday's Union County Championship game.
The Scotch Plains Boys' Varsity Soccer team defeated Governor Livingston High School 5-2 on Friday evening at Kean University, making them Union County Champions for a second year in a row.
Top-seeded Scotch Plains made it to the Finals after defeating Elizabeth 1-0 on Sunday, while third-seeded Governor Livingston beat the Westfield Blue Devils, 2-1, last week at Johnson High School in Clark.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood players, Andrew Leischner, Justin Rodriquez, Brian Rubin, Colin Stripling and Jassiem Wahtuse, all scored a goal each during the game.
The Governor Livingston goals were scored by players, Michael Bamundo and Julian Light.
According to NJ.com, SPF High School's current record is 17-1-2.
