DESCRIPTION:Free tax return help set for local residents at New Providenc
 e Senior Citizens Center\nNew Providence\, Berkeley Heights\, and other 
 area residents of low to moderate income will be able to obtain free ass
 istance in preparing and filing their 2012 tax returns.&nbsp\; Assistanc
 e again will be provided at the New Providence Senior Citizens Center (N
 PSCC)\, 15 East Fourth Street\, New Providence\, by volunteer tax counse
 lors under a program sponsored jointly by the AARP\, the IRS\, and the N
 ew Jersey State Division of Taxation.\nAssistance will cover federal and
  NJ state income taxes\, the NJ Homestead Property Tax Rebate\, and the 
 Property Tax Reimbursement Program (PTR &ndash\; 1 &amp\; 2)\, as applic
 able.&nbsp\; Emphasis will be on filing returns electronically\, resulti
 ng in refunds being received in about two weeks after filing.&nbsp\; Any
  taxes due would not be payable until April 15\, 2013. &nbsp\;Taxpayers 
 will be provided with vouchers to be submitted with any payments.\nTax c
 ounselors will be available on Mondays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3:00
  p.m.\, from Monday\, February 11\, 2013\, through Monday\, April 15\, 2
 013. Beginning February 1\, 2013\, taxpayers seeking assistance in prepa
 ring and filing their returns may call the NPSCC at 908-665-0046\, betwe
 en the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.\, Mondays through Fridays\, for
  an appointment\, or sign up at the center.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\nTaxpayers mu
 st bring photo identification\, their social security cards\, copies of 
 their 2011 federal and state returns\, any 2012 federal forms W-2\, 1099
 -R\, 1099-INT\, 1099-DIV\, 1099-B\, SSA-1099\, etc.\, and the amount of 
 rent or real estate taxes paid in 2012.&nbsp\; In the case of taxpayers 
 filing joint returns\, both taxpayers should be present to authorize the
  electronic filing.
