More About New Providence Administration and Borough Clerk
Located on the second floor of the Municipal Center, this department includes the offices of Borough Administrator Douglas R. Marvin, Borough Clerk Wendi B. Barry, and three staff members. The tax collector is also in this department. The borough administrator, appointed by the borough council and the mayor, manages the development of the borough's budgets, workforce, public information, personnel administration and projects for the borough council and the mayor. The borough clerk's office acts as the secretary of the governing body and municipal corporation, prepares meeting agendas, records meeting minutes, and is the custodian of all borough minutes, deeds, books, archival records, contracts and bonds for the municipal corporation. The clerk's office also oversees archives and records, acts as administrative officer for license and permits applications and issuing licenses and permits, and acts as the chief administrative officer for all municipality elections. The borough administrator and the borough clerk attend each Borough Council meeting held on Monday evenings. Information on tax collection can be found on the borough's website.
