Hosting a Garage Sale? Post it On Patch

Plus, the Summit Area YMCA is admitting potential members for free today, while micropaving continues in New Providence.

Get ready for your weekend garage/yard/estate sale by filling out this easy (and free!) form. Patch will use the information to build an interactive map for people to find your weekend sale. You can also post your information on our boards and events calendar

The Summit Area YMCA — which offers adult and family swim, family and kid open gym and group exercise classes — is making Fridays in August free for potential members. Community members can stop in, bring a picture ID, fill out a waiver, and enter the Y. The facility will be open from 5 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Home for Good Dog Rescue, which is based in Berkeley Heights and has an office in Summit, will host a Dog Adoption and Bank Sale Event on Saturday at PetSmart in Millburn from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. PetSmart is located 187

New Providence street micropaving will continue today, weather permitting. This four day project began on Tuesday and will include a number of streets throughout the borough. Click here for the schedule.

New Providence's Hillview Field closed last Wednesday for repairs and will remain closed until March 2014. 

New Providence's Annual Street Fair is set for Sunday, Sept. 8 and those wishing to participate can sign up now as a non-profit, performer or vendor. To participate, contact the NPBPA at (908) 598-2532 or communications@npbpa.com, or complete the form here. Sponsored by the New Providence Business Community, the street fair will be held on Springfield Avenue between Livingston Avenue and South Street.
