CHORAL ART SOCIETY OF NEW JERSEY SINGS BRAHMS AND RUTTER

On Saturday, May 17, 8:00 P.M. at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield the Choral Art Society of New Jersey will present "Liebeslieder Waltzer" by Johannes Brahms and "Requiem" by John Rutter.  Brahms set his love songs for choir, solo quartet, and piano 4-hands.  Rutter's "Requiem" will be sung by the choir joined in the 3rd movement by soprano Maureen Francis singing the beautiful "Pie Jesu" and accompanied by instruments chosen by the composer for their ability to paint pictures in musical tone colors.
