CO-ADJUTOR ARCHBISHOP BERNARD A. HEBDA TO ATTEND OUR LADY OF LOURDES CELEBRATION IN MOUNTAINSIDE

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ – On Tuesday, February 11, 2014, the parish community of Our Lady of Lourdes in Mountainside will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and the 14th Anniversary of their Perpetual Adoration Chapel.  The parish community is pleased and honored to announce that the Most Reverend Bernard A. Hebda, Co-Adjutor Archbishop of Newark will participate as Celebrant and Homilist.

The Adoration Chapel first opened on February 11, 2000 and has remained a place where the faithful visit with the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  There are always scheduled adorers present while the Holy Eucharist is exposed.  It is very fitting that the Chapel opened on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes and shares its Anniversary with the Feast Day each year.

The Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes is extremely proud of its Adoration Chapel and of the hundreds of people from within and outside the parish who devotedly keep their scheduled hour each and every week.  It is through their devotion and commitment that this chapel has remained such a success for 14 years!  Irene Ciccarino, the chapel’s coordinator for these 14 years, states that “There is no other place to find peace and devotion like one finds in the Adoration Chapel.”
