Lance Announces 2014 Congressional Art Contest

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced he is inviting high school students in the Seventh Congressional District to participate in the 2014 Congressional Art Contest.

“Every year, the Congressional Art Contest is a way for talented students to demonstrate their abilities, passions and hard work,” said Lance, the current Co-Chair of the Congressional Art Caucus and past chair of the annual contest.  “The talent of our young people amazes me and I look forward to seeing the submissions for this year’s contest.”

The national congressional Arts competition began in 1982 to provide an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents.  Since that time more than 650,000 high school students have been involved in the competition.
