Open House at Faith Nursery School, New Providence
Faith Nursery School invites members of the community to visit its school on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Guests will have the opportunity to observe the children and teachers in their classrooms, meet the director and teachers, ask questions and gather information. The school’s location is Faith Lutheran Church, 524 South Street, New Providence.
Faith Nursery School provides a Christ-centered preschool for 2½-year-olds through 5-year-olds. It offers three morning classes: a class for 2½-year-olds that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays; a class for 3-year-olds that meets on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and a Pre-K class that meets Monday through Friday. An optional fourth day is offered for the 3-year-olds on Wednesday. In addition to the morning classes, three afternoon enrichment sessions are offered to the PreK class on Monday. Also, afternoon bi-weekly lunch parties are offered to the 3-year-olds and PreK classes.
Faith Nursery School has two teachers in each classroom at all times. The size of each class is no more than 15 children. The teachers and director have all been part of the school’s staff since 2001. Their backgrounds include NJ teacher certifications, speech pathology and special needs. The school’s goals are to develop the intellectual, social, religious, fine and gross motor skills of each child.

The school was founded in 1989 as an outreach ministry of Faith Lutheran Church. The children regularly share in Bible stories, Christian music with the church’s Director of Music, visits with the Pastor and grace before eating. The children participate in the church’s outreach ministries, including the CROP Walk, the Fall Food Drive, the Christmas Sharing Tree and the Easter Crosswalk.
