Saint Peter's Prep Students Achieve Academic Honors
James C. DeAngelo, '85, principal of Saint Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, announced that students were awarded Honor Pins for the school year 2012-2013 as well as Gold and Silver medals in various subjects. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and no grade lower than a B received pins. The following local residents were recognized:
Berkeley Heights: Colin Carney, '14, Ciaran Freeman, '14, Jonathan LaBella, '15, and Peter Garrigan, '16 earned Honor Pins. Ciaran Freeman won the Silver Medal in Art and Colin Carney won the Silver Medal in Religion. In other news, Carney and Freeman were named to the Camus Ministry Team and Freeman and Garrigan were elected to Student Government.
New Providence: Matthew Brown, '14 earned an Honor Pin. Also, he was selected for the Campus Ministry Team. Patrick Carney, '15, was selected to the Big Brothers Team.
