Strong Showing by Mountainside Sisters at Regional Competition

Martinsburg, WV – Two sisters representing the Motion Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) Team recently competed at the USA Gymnastics Region 6 Trampoline & Tumbling Championships held May 17-18 in Martinsburg, WV. With 495 competitors from 36 schools across 8 states taking part in the event, Olivia and Isabella Stecky of Mountainside, NJ collectively won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal in individual competition.  ”Olivia and Isabella have been working hard all year and had a great weekend. I’m very proud of them,” said Heather Edwards, head coach.

Gold

Olivia Stecky - Girls Level 4 Tumbling, ages 7-8.

Isabella Stecky - Girls Level 6 Tumbling, age 13.

Silver

Olivia Stecky - Girls Level 4 Trampoline, ages 7-8.

 

The three medals won by the sisters were among 33 total medals earned by the Motion Gymnastics T&T team over the weekend.  Next up for Isabella is a trip to Spokane, WA where she will compete in the Junior Olympic Nationals.
