Suicide Prevention at NAMI UC Meeting

People who attend NAMI Union County’s public meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the American Legion Post at 1003 North Ave. in Westfield at 7:30 p.m. will learn about the ABCs of suicide intervention from representatives of the CONTACT We Care helpline.

 

If you’ve ever had to deal with fear that a loved one was losing hope and may decide to take their own life, this forum will be a good one to attend.

CONTACT We Care will offer tips for intervening in a presentation by Executive Director Joanne Oppelt and trainer Fran McTernan. Helpline workers have training and experience dealing with suicide situations and will share their knowledge with those in attendance.
