The Brooke Healey Foundation will hold ‘Brooketoberfest,’ a celebration of the late 5-year-old girl’s life, as a fundraiser for pediatric brain tumors on Oct. 26.
Only 200 tickets will be sold for the event, planned from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Somerset Hills Hotel, 200 Liberty Corner Road, Warren.
The evening will include music, dinner and open bar, according to the Alternative Press. Tickets are $100 per person and are being sold at Elefante Music, Paolos Kitchen and Marion Deli or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds go to pediatric brain cancer research.
Brooke, the daughter of Madison teacher and coach Steve Healey, lived in New Providence.
She was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma in January, a rare, inoperable tumor in the middle of her brain. She died Sept. 9.
"Brooke’s radiant smile left a lasting impression on all that knew her," her parents wrote in an online journal.
