July 4th Celebrations Around the Area

From Bridgewater to Cranford, celebrations abound.

While Mountainside is getting ready for their annual fireworks display tonight beginning at dusk at Our Lady of Lourdes church (baseball field), there are celebrations you can visit all day around the area, filled with food, fun, games and good times for the entire family.

In Cranford, the Recreation and Parks Department is hosting Fourth of July Fireworks to help honor Cranford's 140th Anniversary. This event will take place tonight beginning at 9:05pm at Nomahegan Park, 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford.  

There will be food vendors in the park offering zeppoles, pork & beef barbecue, sausage and hot dogs, ice cream and assorted drinks from 2:00pm until 10:00pm.

In Bridgewater, a family festival will be held at North Branch Park. The celebration will be from 5:00pm-11:00pm and will include fireworks.  Music will be provided by Verdict and Total Soul. All are welcome.

Union Township is hosting 4th of July Celebrations. There will be a Soapbox Durby at 10:00am. Family-fun activites will continue at 7:30pm at Ester Egbert Park on Fairview Drive. All are welcome to see a performance by the Brox Wanderers will be followed by fireworks at dusk.

In Springfield, there will be fireworks, food/drinks, rides and games, a Giant 50/50 Raffle (sponsored by Springfield Rotary) and a concert featuring The Toys with Barbara Harris and 1910 Fruitgum Co. 

Gates will open at 5:00pm and the concert begins at 7:30pm.
