Kean University First In The Region To Host School Of Global Business

UNION – The Kean University Global Business School has begun external enrollment for Fall 2014 and Fall 2015 semesters. The School’s new Bachelor of Science degree program includes 8 courses centering on topics crucial to 21st century management including: Global Accounting, Research and Analytics, Commercial Development of the Internet, Global operations, Sustainability, and Supply Chain Management.

“Our program is unique in its approach, providing global faculty and a global curriculum. What this means is that the faculty recruited will represent PhDs from the nations of the globe, and the academic infrastructure will reflect that including an internship with a multinational company outside of the United States,” said Dr. Michael Cooper, Dean of the Kean University College of Business and Public Management.

The program emphasizes learning beyond the classroom. With a focus on innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, the new Kean University Global Business School seeks to prepare the next generation of business leaders for the realities of today’s global economy. The school’s faculty is passionate about business and branding, leveraging the latest technologies to enhance the educational experience. 

“The broader goal of Kean’s School of Global Business is to build future global executives who have actual hands-on experience from working in different parts of the world,” continued Dr. Cooper.  “The Global Business School curriculum is designed to help students acquire a global perspective and the ability to think strategically beyond the cultural confines of a single region or country.”

Kean University’s Global Business School is dedicated to providing students with the insights, strategies, and competencies needed to succeed in today’s global marketplace. Students will explore contemporary issues related to business trends in corporate management, entrepreneurship, consumer markets, media, technology and globalization and are trained to identify in emerging global markets and develop actionable strategies.

Additionally, the Global Business School offers a broad array of advisement and career resources to help students bridge the gap between the classroom and the boardroom. Services available include: workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, job search skills, and choosing a major.

The study abroad intensive in Wenzhou-Kean costs the same as the price of a semester at Kean USA.  Admission is highly selective. Enrolled undergraduates are encouraged to continue their studies through Kean’s Global MBA program.
