The Summit Medical Group in Berkeley Heights will host its free Live Well Sports and Health Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday on its campus at 1 Diamond Hill Road.
This year’s festival kicks off Summit Medical Group’s first #LiveWellStayWell Challenge. The #LiveWellStayWell Challenge is a 90-day adventure in which 10 people will pursue their health and fitness goals while sharing their experiences via video and social media.
Selected participants will start off with a physical, a fitness evaluation and a nutrition consultation by a team of Summit Medical Group healthcare providers. They'll also be provided with a Fitbit Flex personal fitness tracker and a Summit Medical Group Challenge Concierge to support them throughout the Challenge.
Returning sports champions include Tim Morehouse, U.S. Olympic and National fencing champion; David Zhuang, World Table Tennis Champion and Olympic competitor; and members of the U.S. Olympic Rowing Team. Participants in the #LiveWellStayWell Challenge will also be on hand to meet with guests and talk about their challenge goals.
Festival attendees can visit the Eat Well Demonstration Pavilion to sample healthy foods and learn how to make positive changes to their diets.
