Local Singer/Songwriter Set to Appear in Fanwood Sunday

Award-winner Kenny Woods to play at the Kuran.

Fanwood - The Fanwood Arts Council will present Los Angeles Music Award winning singer/songwriter Kenny Woods in a free public concert on Sunday, March 20th, 3-4 p.m. at the Kuran Arts Center, formerly the Fanwood Carriage House, on Watson Road off 75 North Martine Ave in Fanwood. Woods won the Portland Songwriters Association Contest, received an honorable mention by Billboard and has been featured on the American Idol website.

Woods will perform his signature wedding song, "Thankful For You" which has over 350,000 views on YouTube and is performed at weddings around the world. The solo acoustic performance will feature Woods singing everything from his dark night of the soul ballads to rabble-rousing pop and accompanying himself on keyboard and acoustic guitar.

"My writing of late has also been inspired by fantasy, myth and legend including songs for Middle-Earth and Camelot," says Woods, whose song for the Hobbit is currently on his YouTube page: youtube.com/kennywoods.
