Mountainside Kids Raise Money for Hurricane Victims

Community Service committee asks for donations for Cranford flood victims.

The Community Service Committee of GUCAR (Greater Union County Association of Realtors)  is asking help for a relief drive for the flood victims in Cranford.

At this time donations of any usable household items that can be spared such as towels, sheets, pots and pans, utensils, etc. are wanted.

With that in mind, several Mountainside children decided it was time to get involved.

Siblings Sean, Klye and Nora Hess, Will Tracy, Liam Holburt, along with friends Billy and Pete Skinner, who were visiting from Connecticut, set up a lemonade stand on the corner of Wood Valley Road and Briar Patch in Mountainside on Friday.

The youngsters plan to donate the proceeds of their sale to the Cranford relief drive, presently being organized by The Community Service Committee of GUCAR to help the many families whose homes were devestated by the storm.
