Register Special Needs Kids for Rec Programs

New Providence sponsors soccer and craft sessions this fall.

Registration is open for two fall recreational programs catering to special needs kids.

New Providence Recreation will sponsor Saturday Afternoon Soccer and TryCan Crafty Kids on Saturdays and Mondays, respectively, this fall.

U.K. Elite trainers will lead the Saturday soccer sessions for children ages 7 to 17 from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Sept. 21 to Nov. 2, at Lincoln Field. Registration is $60.

Recreation art instructor Kris Serpico will lead six participants in the TryCan Crafty Kids classes, in which kids "will have the help of mentors to create fun and interesting projects at a pace that is right for them."

The class will be held Mondays from 4 to 5 p.m. Sept. 23 to Nov. 18 (no class Oct. 14 and Nov. 4) in the New Providence Municipal Center Art Room. Registration is $60.

Register online at www.newprov.org/recreation.
