Union County Family Fights 37k Property Tax Bill

When Rahway resident, Rafael Ortiz, and his wife were building their 10,000 square foot home, all they wanted was for their two disabled daughters to have enough space to feel independent, according tonj.com

However a $37,000 annual property tax bill, which Ortiz says is an incorrect assessment and is currently fighting, is forcing the family to sell their investments in order to stay in the handicap accessible house, according to nj.com.
