What Happened to The Cannon Wheels?

The Cannon, which was presented to the Township in honor of the efforts of citizen's during WWI, is now missing its wheels.

The cannon located on the lawn next the municipal building is missing its wheels.

According to the Township's Zoning Officer Bob LaCosta, the township is currently repairing the cannon (check back with scotchplains.patch.com on Monday for more on that) but, the question remains, where have the wheels gone?

Do you know where the cannon wheels have gone? Tell us in the comments.

How 'bout getting rid of that tacky hand-globe sculpture in front of town hall?

Please look closely at the hand sculpture; you may notice it is actually a hand holding a baseball with the top of the ball cut off. Then someone put some metal scraps on it and sold it to us. I was startled when this was pointed out to me but it sure seems correct. Why the town seems to want to avoid its real colonial charm and put tack up is mystifying.

I looks like we got all of the info on the cannon's wheels for now... With regards to the Frazee House and the Hand Sculpture, well now, that's another story.... and a long one at that.

We have your Cannon Wheels and in about eight weeks you will have a set of Cannon Wheels that will look just like the wheels that came with the cannon when it was new. You can see our Cannon Wheel work at; http://www.customwagons.com/cannon_wheels.htm Custom Wagons www.customwagons.com

I thought the Amish were working on this in Pennsylvania? That's what I was told.
