Whiz Kid: From Theatre to Sports, Max Charbonneau Does It All

Student Council, choir and band keep Berkeley Heights students busy.

Max Charbonneau is 11 years old and goes to Thomas P. Hughes Elementary school in Berkeley Heights. He is in the 5th grade and is a Student Council representative for his class.  He also is in the choir and the band.  He plays the snare drum. He will also a member of Drama Dragons, a 5th grade play that will be presented in March. His character is Walter Smart. 

What Max Likes to Do: Outside of school he plays soccer and basketball for the N.J. Hawks. Max also enjoys swimming on Saturday mornings. His recent accomplishments incude being a finalist this year in the 5th National Geography Bee.  He was one of  the eleven finalists. 

Quote from a former tennis coach:  "Another amazing achievement to add to Max's great accomplishments is that he is an excellent tennis player. I had the privilege of teaching Max for a couple of years and he blew me away with how well he could hit that ball."
