Introductory Dance Workshop

These mini-workshops are a great introduction to some of our instructors and future classes and workshops!

2:00pm – 2:30pm: Preschool & Kindergarten
Kindergarten - "Theater Fun!" will teach children about acting and expressing feelings and situations with the body and voice. This workshop is designed to be fun and educational, increase confidence and improve social skills and awareness.  

2:40pm – 3:30pm: 1st – 5th Grade
"Acting and Performing" - Students will participate in acting and theater games that explore using the mind, body, and voice to convey feelings, situations, and characters. Group activities and ensemble building will awaken the awareness of interactions with others on stage. This workshop is an excellent introduction to the dramatic arts! 

3:45pm – 4:45pm: 6th-8th Grade 
"Acting and Improv" - Wake up your imagination and performing abilities by participating in improvisational activities, movement experiments, and acting exercises! This workshop will give a general introduction to the many aspects of performing and will include activities that touch upon improvisation/comedy, the endless possibilities of movement, creating a character, and utilization of the voice.
