WAMFEST 2012 Closes with Poet Quincy Troupe and Hip-Hop Artist Talib Kweli

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s WAMFEST 2012 will
wrap up this year’s series with a much anticipated closing that will feature poet Quincy Troupe and hip-hop artist Kalib Kweli. Troupe and Kweli will be in conversation with WAMFEST artist in residence and FDU visiting writer, Wesley Stace (also known as John Wesley Harding) and fellow FDU professor and celebrated author Jeffrey Reynard Allen. Troupe is an award-winning author of eight
volumes of poetry, three children’s books and six nonfiction works. Kweli has been a force in New York’s hip-hop scene has collaborated with artist Mos Def on the 1998 album “Black Star”. WAMFEST is an annual series hosted by FDU’s
Becton College and the Creative Writing Program that brings successful artists of various genres to the Madison campus to inspire and inform students who hope
to follow in these artists’ creative footsteps. Will be located in Lenfell Hall(The Mansion).
