Chamber to Honor Investors Bank for Service to Businesses, Communities

Suburban Chamber of Commerce's annual awards event, scheduled for March 22, champions outstanding companies, organizations, and local leaders.

Investors Bank, the Garden State’s third largest bank and with locations in and , was selected by the Suburban Chamber of Commerce to receive the organization’s 2012 Business of the Year honors.

Investors President and CEO Kevin Cummings will accept the award at the Chamber’s annual Service Award Dinner tomorrow, March 22, at the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, N.J. The Chamber represents businesses in Berkeley Heights, New Providence and Summit.

In announcing the selection, Chamber Chairman John Rosellini, who is also the Business Development Director at Overlook Medical Center, said, “Investors’ service to Main Street businesses and exceptional efforts to build alliances with local community organizations exemplify the theme of our service awards, which is ‘Tying the Community Together.’’’

The Chamber reviewed the contributions made by many area businesses to enhance the communities they serve. The judges’ choice of Investors was unanimous, according to Mr. Rosellini.

Speaking on behalf of Investors’ employees, Cummings said: “The award honors our employees who live by Investors’ core values that are the ‘4 Cs’ – character, commitment, community, and cooperation. Our organization is fortunate that are employees come to work engaged, excited, and enthusiastic about doing their job.”

The Chamber is also recognizing the following businesses and local leaders for their efforts to improve local communities – Individual Public Service Award, New Jersey Assembly Member the Honorable Jon M. Bramnick, who represents District 21; Public Service Organization Award, Summit Area YMCA; Silver Service Award, Karen Olson, President of Family Promise; Beautification Award, in New Providence; and the President’s Award, former Mayor of Summit Jordan Glatt.
