Father's Day is Only A Few Days Away, But There's Still Time to Score Some Great Gifts

From the practical, to the sublime, here are some gift ideas available right around the corner.

Father’s Day is approaching fast. So if you’re still scratching your head wondering what to get dad, here are a few ideas for great gifts that you could purchase right here in Berkeley Heights.

They range from the nuts and bolts practical sort, to gifts that will offer a little extra pampering and relaxation.

What father doesn’t need a portable, folding canvas chair that is light enough to take to any sporting or outdoor event?

Mark Vicendese, Owner of Berkeley Hardware, located at 503 Springfield Ave., said he thinks it’s a great gift for under $13.

He said another handy gift is a combination drill, flashlight and bit set all in one convenient box for $29.95.

Of course if you think dad already has these items, a gift card will give him the keys to the hardware store kingdom – which is almost any man’s dream.

And if dad recently purchased new clothes or wants to resurrect some oldies but goodies, Tailoring by Marco is offering a special gift for dad.

“We’re offering a special of two pairs of pants shortened for the price of one,” said Jo Ann Pravata, Co-Owner of Tailoring by Marco located at 457 Springfield Ave..

If you’re thinking that dad could use a little pampering, there are a couple of options available, right around the corner.

Sublime Salon & Day Spa located at 206 Sherman Ave. is offering a special ‘Dad’s Stress Reliever’ which includes a full body massage, manicure and pedicure for $111, regularly $127.

You can also purchase a full body massage alone for $70, regularly $80.

“And just so moms don’t feel completely left out, Sublime is also offering a special full body massage, facial, manicure, pedicure and blow out for $205, normally $230,” said Suzanne Cordillo, Owner.

Etya Novik, Owner of Respira, located at 472 Springfield Ave., suggests pampering dad with a unique experience he’ll never forget.

Novik is offering a $10 discount on a one hour massage in one of its salt rooms.

“It’s really like getting two therapies in one. It’s like getting a massage on the beach. It will relax, rejuvenate and boost dad’s immune system and improve breathing,” said Novik.

The usual cost of the session is $110, but Novik is offering $10 off for Father’s Day.

“Another great treat is the Déjà vu Dead Sea skin products that are deliciously revitalizing,” said Novik.

"We’re offering a 15% discount on all Déjà vu products," said Novik. The men’s kit includes shower gel, after shave balm, and deodorant.

Respira also offers a variety of facial soaps including salt, seaweed, and black mud, and body lotions and body scrubs for men.

Novik said, “Purchase $100 worth of products and enjoy a free salt therapy session.”

The clock is ticking, but now, you’ve got some great ideas from which to choose.
