  • Kiralyudvar Tokaji Sec 2006 – Typically a sweet wine, this Tokaji has been made dry and more food-friendly, yet still fruity, by Kiralyudvar, a Hungarian winery owned by Anthony Hwang. David Wagner at Berkeley Wine Company states, "This is jaw-droppingly good. (There is) effusive nose of ripe citrus, apricot, and compelling minerality. The wonderfully fruity palate is deftly balanced and its finish goes on forever."

  • Domaine Dirler-Cade Pinot Blanc Vieilles Vignes 2007 – Blending "organic farming practices with a blend of science and mysticism", hints of apple blossom and pear help this wine to have a "supple, silky finish". The perfect wine for your Christmas ham.

  • Chateau Redortier Cotes du Rhone Beaumes-de-Venise 2001 – From the beautiful Rhone Valley commune of Suzette, which overhangs the wine-famous Beaumes of Venice in France, comes this aged, deep red wine. Consisting of "a wonderful palate of dark plums, black cherry, and spice," this unexpectedly complex wine tantalizes the palate with its richness. "Some critics were a bit dubious at the elevation of Beaumes-de-Venise (Beaumes of Venice) to full cru status," said Wagner, "but doubters should get hold of a case or two of this wine. It is a real stunner."

  • Thalvin-Alain Graillot Syrocco Zenata Syrah Morocco 2008 – This Syrah from the Rhone Valley vineyards of Alain Graillot was originally discovered by Graillot while vacationing in Morocco. Grown in the black soils of Morocco, it can be described as "deep, rich, and delicious," and matches perfectly with any long-cooking meat, such as lamb or rib roast.
