Power Restored to Amtrak and NJ Transit Trains on Northeast Corridor

Low voltage issue shut down service at all stations earlier this morning.

According to the Breaking News Network, there was a temporary shutdown of all Amtrak and New Jersey Transit trains this morning due to low voltage issues, forcing customers to be delayed on the Northeast Corridor line between New York and Philadelphia, in both directions.

It was reported at 7:42am that all trains were being held in stations, but power was restored within a half hour.  The stoppage caused delays across the Northeast Corridor.

There were no trains stopped in the New York Tunnel System at the time the power went down.
