An Allergy Seminar and a College Fair Take Center Stage

Plenty of games on tap this afternoon for the high school fan.

1.) Varsity games galore for your Wednesday features the girls' varsity softball team home to Westfield at 4. Also at 4, the boys' tennis team will host New Providence. The boys's and girls' track team will be home to Hillside.

2.) For the road warrior, the girls' lacrosse squad will be at Livingston and the boys' team travels to Newark Academy. both are at 4:00 p.m. 

3.)  , 1 Diamond Hill Rd, Berkeley Heights, will host a lecture today called The Ins and Outs of Allergy Season. The lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be presented by Kerry LeBenger, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI; and Gary Pien, MD, PhD, FAAP. Almost 60 million children and adults suffer from some type of allergy.  This lecture will explore why allergies are so prevalent in the U.S. including both food and respiratory allergens.  Prevention strategies and treatment options for the approaching allergy season will be discussed. 4.) College-bound juniors and their families should make plans to attend the New Jersey College Fair. at the N.J. Expo Center. The National Association for College Admission Counseling will be there to assist you on your way to higher education.  This event will take place today from 9:00am - 12:00pm and 6:30pm - 8:30pm and Thursday, April 8, 2011 from 9:00am - 12:00pm.  For more information visit www.nacacnet.org or call (732) 417-1400.  All are welcome. 

5.) Best Friend Dog and Animal Adoption will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at the thrift store from today through Saturday April 16th . Simply come into the store and draw an Easter Egg filled with a savings discount.  You can save 20%, 30% or even 50% on each shopping trip you make to the store.  The store is located at 1750 East Second Street, Scotch Plains and is open from 10:30-4:30 everyday except Sunday and Monday.  For information call 732-388-8930.
