Editor's Notebook: Proposed School Budget Includes Zero Percent Tax Increase

In case you missed anything, here's a hot list of what was featured on New Providence Patch this week.

Following on Feb. 22, schools around the state will be receiving a boost in state aid, including New Providence. At the Board of Education meeting on Monday, Finance Chairman John Wolak said  due to a  to the New Providence School District. The Finance Committee recommended that $10,000 be allocated toward the technology budget so the board can begin to replace outdated computers and hardware. The remaining balance of state aid, $312,610, will actually decrease the tax levy by 0.02 percent. And that wasn't all that we featured on New Providence Patch this week.
