Excessive Heat Warning in Effect Through Friday Night

Temperatures back into the 80's early next week.

If you can't take the heat, then it might be best to stay indoors.

According to various weather reports, including the National Weather Service, the hottest day of the year is upon us, with the heat index for Friday expected to be between 105-110 degrees.

With the mercury set to top out at 100, a cool pool or an air-conditioned venue will be the place to be.

It is recommended to drink plenty of water, and check in on friends and family, especially those who may be living alone. 

Saturday is not expected to be much better, with the temperature set to hit a high of 98.

We cool down on Sunday, with the thermometer expected to drop to a chilly 90 degrees.
