Five Things You Need To Know This Week: June 27 - July 3

This week, PSE&G is hosting an informational session on the North Central Reliability Project, the library is hosting a "Get Organized" event, and NPBPA is presenting the annual Independence Day Celebration.

1. PSE&G is hosting a workshop to provide more information on the this Tuesday, June 28th at L'Affaire 22 in Mountainside, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend anytime between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., as no formal presentation is planned. 2. In case you haven't had a chance to stop by, the is open this Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m., rain or shine, in the Municipal Center parking lot. The market, presented by the New Providence Business & Professional Association, will be open every Wednesday through the end of October.

3. New Jersey Blood Services is hosting a Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 29th at the . Open from 12 noon to 6 p.m., each donor will receive a free regular ice coupon to Rita's Italian Ice in Berkeley Heights. For more information, please call 1-800-933-BLOOD.

4. The is hosting a "Get Organized" event on Thursday, June 30th at 11 a.m. Steven Jennings, a personal organizer from Financial Filing Solution, LLC, will offer a 30-minute presentation to community members to help get all of your important documents organized. All are welcome to this free event.

5. New Providence community members will hit South Street on July 3 for the annual New Providence Independence Day Celebration, featuring family-friendly activities for all ages. The festival will feature DJ Mike Savage, performing on the NP fuel "Jets" Truck, and two exciting children's performers at a "Kid's Patriotic Concert," set to begin at 8 p.m. Finally, the fireworks display will kick off at 9:30 p.m. Presented by the New Providence Business and Professional Association, and sponsored by Investors Savings Bank.
