Five Things You Need To Know Today: April 28

The school budget passed yesterday, and John Wolak and Ira W. Krauss were re-elected to the Board of Education. This afternoon, the lacrosse, baseball, softball, tennis and golf teams will be in action.

1. According to unofficial results, the school budget passed with 1,049 "yes" votes yesterday, and incumbent John Wolak and Ira W. Krauss were re-elected to the Board of Education. Read the full story .

2. The boys' baseball teams will compete in the Union County Tournament today. Varsity will host St. Mary's, while JV will host Plainfield. The girls' varsity softball team will also be in action, hosting Rahway High School. All games begin at 4 p.m.

3. The boys' varsity and JV tennis teams will play Chatham High School at 4 p.m. today. Varsity will play home, while JV will play at Chatham.

4. The boys' lacrosse teams will play at Summit High School today, while the girls' lacrosse teams will host Verona High School. The boys' and girls' varsity teams will begin at 4 p.m., while the boys' and girls' JV teams will play at 5:30 p.m.

5. The varsity golf team will play at Union High School today, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
