4. Crossroads Hosts PTO Fundraiser: Six members of the Washington School Show Band will perform an hour-long set of classic rock covers  at The Crossroads in Garwood.  The mini-show is the off-shoot of the annual Washington School Show which is the Westfield elementary school's well-known annual fund-raiser.  Guitarist Brad Schaeffer explained: "We all looked at each other after the show was over last year and wondered why we should only play together once a year considering how much we love the music and the fun we have.  So one thing led to another, an email here, a successful practice there, and now here we are. And we figured if we can also raise money for the school in the process, why not?" The mini-show is a pre-cursor to possibly a longer set in the fall that will again benefit the Washington Elementary School PTO, or perhaps either another local community organization or  charity of the group's choosing as yet to be determined.  The band members are Eric Ingber [drums], Rich Bucci [keyboards, sax, accordian], Ralph Venturino [vocals], Greg Salmon [bass, vocals], Kevin Callahan [guitar, vocals], and Brad Schaeffer [guitar, keyboards, vocals].  The set is scheduled to start at 9:00 pm.  Cover charge is $6.00.  Proceeds to benefit the Washington Elementary School PTO.
