Five Things You Need To Know Today: July 30

Today, there are garage/yard/moving sales in neighboring towns, New Jersey Blood Services will host a blood drive in Scotch Plains, and Woodbridge Community Youth Players will present "Curtains."

1. There will be a large moving sale today at 830 Long Hill Rd in Gillette from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale to include furniture (sleeper sofa and chair, TV cabinet, coffee tables, side tables, lamps, desks, mirrors, hope chest, trundle bed, bathroom vanity/storage), baseball cards, 15' trampoline and small trampoline (both with enclosures), CDs and much more.

2. Blood supplies continue to dwindle in our area. Help out by donating blood today at the Scotch Plains Donor Center, 2279 South Avenue in Scotch Plains. 3. If you're looking to venture out of the borough this weekend, the Woodbridge Community Youth Players will present today and tomorrow at the Hungarian American Club, located at 95 Port Reading Avenue in Woodbridge. The Saturday show begins at 7:30 p.m., while the Sunday performance will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. 4. There will be a garage sale at 7 Orchard St. in Summit from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items for sale will include furniture, housewares, children's clothing and much more.

5. There will be a yard sale at 228 Shunpike Rd. in Chatham from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, July 31. Items for sale to include a Keurig Machine, bassinet, black table, shredder and much more.
