Five Things You Need to Know Today, June 21

High school graduation highlights a busy Tuesday.

Today marks the official beginning of the summer season and the day of the year with the longest hours of daylight.

And later today, if you pass by Gov. Livingston high school at just the right time, you'll see lots of caps flying in the air.

1. Graduation Day at Gov. Livingston: Four years, endless homework and crucial tests have come to an end for now... and today it's a time to celebrate all the hard work as the Class of 2011 gets set to receive their diplomas. Commencement begins at 6:00pm. Congratulations to all!

2. There will be a seminar on Hypnosis for Weight Loss (Overlook Medical Center). The seminar will begin at 7:00pm and will be held at Overlook Medical Center -  conference room # 3.  Learn how to permanently lose weight using hypnotic suggestions and proven behavior modification techniques. Presenter: Barbara Van Duyne, Certified Hypnotherapist. Registration is required and there is a $70.00 fee for this seminar.   Please make checks payable to Atlantic Health/Overlook Hospital and bring check to class.

3. Borough Council Meeting for Mountainside: will take place at 8:00pm at Mountainside borough hall.

4. There will be a Board of Health Meeting: to be held at Berkeley Heights Municipal Building and will begin at 8:00pm.  All are welcome.

5.  The American Red Cross will offer a class on Babysitter's Training PLUS starting Wednesday June 22nd. This is a three day session from 9:00am - 12:30pm (total of 10 hrs 30 mins).  They will be held at the Summit Community Center. Registration is required and all are welcome.
