Five Things You Need to Know Today, March 29

Fundraiser for the BJ Giannone Foundation on tap.

1.) The Gov. Livingston baseball team will host a fundraiser this afternoon to raise money for the B.J. Giannone Foundation.bGiannone, who lived in Mountainside and attended St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, died January 31 after participating in a high school swim meet. With his high school team coming to Berkeley Heights for a pre-season game, organizers thought it a fitting tribute to hold the fundraiser. Giannone's parents will be in attendance and will be throwing out the first pitch.

To help raise money, food will be sold, and a 50/50 raffle will be held. BJ bracelets (Live Like BJ) will also be sold, with all proceeds going to the BJ Giannone Foundation.
