Five Things You Need to Know Today, May 19

Carnival games, comedy and your pediatric questions answered.

1. Bicycle rodeo in Mountainside will be held Thursday, May 19 at Beechwood school from 9-12pm. Location is 1417 Woodacres Dr. Open to all. Rain date set for May 20th. Website: http://www.mountainsideschools.org

2. Our Lady of Peace Fair, today through May 21st. from 6-10 pm. Rain or shine; indoors and out.  Fun, fun, fun  with great food, awesome prizes and thrilling rides and games for kids and adults of all ages.  Teens and older kids look forward to the fast, tall rides and little tykes, 6 and under will love the Kiddie Rides and the Game tent; a winner every time!  Located at 111 South  St.

3. Howie Mandel Live! UCPAC is hosting a One Night Only Performance with Howie Mandel.  This event will take place on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 8:00pm.  The UC PAC is located at 1601 Irving Street, Rahway.  Tickets cost $47 - $70.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.ucpac.org or call 732-499-0441.  This performance may not be suitable for all ages / audience members. Website: http://www.ucpac.org.

5. Health Screenings with Overlook Hospital - Diabetes - will be offered on Friday, May 20th at the Mountainside Public Library.  This event will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Space is limited. You must book your exact appointment time with the Community Health Department of Overlook Hospital:  1-800-247-9580. Drop-ins will be accommodated only if the schedule permits, so be sure to make your appointment and arrive on time.
