Five Things You Need To Know Today: May 25

A Funeral Mass will be held for Nick Carone, a longtime borough resident, at 10 a.m. The Senior Citizens Center Club will meet at 11 a.m., while both the varsity and JV baseball teams will be in action at 4 p.m.

1. The Funeral Mass for , a longtime borough resident and DPW Assistant Foreman who passed away on May 21 after a battle with lung cancer, will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church today at 10 a.m.

2. The Club will meet at 11 a.m. to hear Expert Home Care speak about their services. A free craft will follow at 2 p.m.

3. The boys' varsity baseball team will host Abraham Clark High School at 4 p.m. today.

4. The JV baseball team will also be in action today, hosting Oratory Prep School at 4 p.m.

5. Every Wednesday through July 27, local bands will face-off at The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Woodbridge to impress a panel of judges and the pub crowd. Bands will be judged on sound, stage presence, song selection and crowd response.  The winning band, which will be determined in July, will receive a S.T.A.R.S. Productions contract and a one-year deal to play at The Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Woodbridge, a prize valued at $10,000.
