Mother Nature couldn't have put together a nicer day for a parade than last Saturday, when teams of T-ballers through major league players marched down Wood Valley Road to the Major League Memorial Field, the home of Mountainside Youth Baseball.   

The borough’s rescue and police force provided official escort, sandwiched by a steady stream of about a dozen vintage vehicles. 

An afternoon of families and friends on the fields enjoying fresh air and sunshine followed to commerate opening day of the annual event since 1954 - still complete with tons of hot dogs.
