The Week Ahead

What's happening in our area this week.

 

1. Union County Healthcare Associates Hosting An Open House Monday. This event will take place Monday evening, Dec. 19th from 5-8 pm. Union County Healthcare Associates is a medical practice where the physicians specialize in internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric medicine, or gerontology, problems of the GI tract, and primary care.  Join them at their Open House to meet the Doctors, Staff and ask questions. Hors d' oeuvres and drinks will be served, gift certificates will also be raffled off.  All are welcome.

2. Berkeley Heights Councilto Vote on Berkeley Aquatic Center.  The Borough Council will vote Tuesday evening, Dec. 20th on weather to allow sewer access to the Berkeley Aquatic Center, which will be built in Warren. the meeting will be held at town hall, 29 Park Ave., Berkeley Heights. Patch will be on hand and have full coverage of the event, which begins at 7 pm.

3. There Will be a Mountainside Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday night at borough hall starting at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend.

4. A Library Board of Trustees Meeting is set for Thursday Dec. 22nd and will begin at 7:30 pm at the Mountainside Public Library.  All are welcome to attend. The library is located on Watchung Ave. in Mountainside.

5. Looking for Astronomy Lovers. The members of Amateur Astronomers, Inc. present an informal lecture and provide views of the night sky through two big telescopes at the William Miller Sperry Observatory on the Union County College campus Friday, Dec. 23. The lecture begins at 8:30 p.m. The telescopes are in operation from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.  For info on speaker and topic, please visit the Public Talks section of the AAI website at www.asterism.org.  Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking.  All are welcome.
