2ND FRIDAY @ MONDO Music Event with THE CARLA VIROLA TRIO in Concert plus Dance Party

Hundreds of area music lovers have enjoyed the popular 2ND FRIDAY @ MONDO Music Series concerts, presented by TEATRO Si at the intimate 3rd floor Brownstone Theater at MONDO, located at 426 Springfield Avenue in downtown Summit, NJ. This bi-monthly live concert event continues to bring to you a unique opportunity to enjoy a diversity of music genres as performed by a select series of international artists. The popular concert series continues on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:30pm with an evening of boleros and more with The Carla Virola Trio in concert plus a dance party for all with DJ Brandis.     Vocalist, pianist and dance artist Carla Virola was born in East Harlem in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, Carla quickly picked up her music skills from her dad. Educated at the LaGuardia School of the Arts and then the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Carla has had vast experience on her creative side. Appearing on popular TV soaps (As The World Turns, One Life to Live) and SNL, she quickly got a taste of what she wanted to do in life.              Musically, she and her sister stepped out with their first duo effort and were pre-nominated for Grammy's in several categories as well as being written up in Billboard Magazine.                                                                                Carla performs and writes all of her music and continues to pursue her acting career. She recently appeared as a principal actress and VO actor on a Channel 7 Eyewitness News Promo spot, as well as an XFinity commercial, a Lupus PSA and her most recent commercial for a As Seen on TV segment.  Whether you catch her on TV or on the airwaves, be sure to show your love and support for this Latina Diva who is a star on the rise.
