Grammercy Brass Orchestra Benefit Concert at Faith Lutheran

On Sunday, December  9 at 4 pm, the Grammercy Brass Orchestra will play a Christmas benefit concert for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.  The concert will be at Faith Lutheran Church, 524 South Street, New Providence.

The audience will celebrate Christmas with the Principal Quintet of the Orchestra playing the works of J. S. Bach, G. F. Handel, Vince Guaraldi, Irving Berlin and Neil Diamond.  The quintet includes two trumpets (playing various types of trumpets, flugelhorn, and cornet), a french horn,
trombone and tuba.

The concert will also feature the singing of soprano, Christina Girvin, and the playing of Faith Lutheran’s new Gluck organ by John Girvin, Minister of Music at Faith.  The audience will have an opportunity to sing-along.
