Honors Recital Auditions 12/4 - Application is due by 11/25

The WHARTON MUSIC CENTER is accepting application by 11/25/2011 for the 12/04/2011 auditions for the Honors Recital.  If accepted, the concert will be on February 4, 2012.

The audition is open to all WMC students studying a musical instrument or voice. Each applicant will be allotted 5 minutes to perform two contrasting works with or without music. Applicants will be evaluated on stage presence, musicality, and technical proficiency. All applicants will receive written feedback and comments from a panel of independent adjudicators at the conclusion of the audition. The adjudicators will choose 20 students from those auditioning for the 2012 Honors Recital on February 4, 2012. Applicants chosen for the Honors Recital are requested to perform the selected works by memory.

Audition Fee WMC Members: $15 non-refundable fee
WMC Non-Members: $20 non-refundable fee
Remit check payable to Wharton Music Center and the completed application by November 25, 2011 to Wharton Music Center, 60 Locust Avenue, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922.
