Summer Camp Special Registration Offer at the Y

Register for camp at the Summit AreaYMCA by February 29, and your child will receive a special camp kit made up of:a sling backpack, sports water bottle, thermal lunch bag and swim towel. Visit the Summit YMCA on Wednesday, February 29 at our parent information session starting at 7:00 pm. Register for camp and meet our camp directors.

This summer the Y has expanded its specialty camp offerings to include science camps, robotics, and drama camp, a variety of art camps, dance and golf, and
horseback riding.  Many specialty camps run for half day sessions and can be combined with a half day Camp Cannundus session, the Y’s traditional outdoor day camp, to fill out your camper’s day. Extended care for before and after camp hours are also available.

For first time camper experience our preschool camps for ages 3 to 5 offer a program especially geared for our youngest campers. Camps at the Summit YMCA and Berkeley Heights YMCA are available for either half day or full day sessions. The Learning Circle YMCA runs camp programs for children ages 3 to children who have
completed 1st grade at their Summit facility. These are month long full day programs.

For the sports enthusiast, Sports Camp teaches a variety of sports through a games approach method. Campers develop skills and techniques while learning the value of sportsmanship and fair play.

Back by popular demand, Teen Trek, for older kids ages 7 to 9 and 11 to 14, is a trip and travel camp offering daily adventures spanning New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Some points of interest this summer include Sandy Hook, Delaware Water Gap, Mountain Creek Water Park, Newark Bears Baseball, Miniature Golf, Museum of Natural History, the Bronx Zoo and more. As a parent of a 2011 camper stated,”My son said to me that this was the best summer of his life.”
