Levi House Move Goes Dark, to Resume This Weekend
Loss of daylight leaves historic structure in Mountainside Library parking lot, short of its Constitution Plaza destination.
The Levi House—delayed by two postponements—finally made its move on Saturday.
But it didn't quite reach its destination.
After nine hours and "many unavoidable delays along the way," darkness halted the move and left the home in the Mountainside Library parking lot. It will take about three or four more hours this Saturday to move the structure the remainder of the way to Constitution Plaza.
The move will resume at noon Saturday.
